National News: The 'War against Drugs' campaign against drugs in Punjab is now at a decisive turn. DGP Gaurav Yadav has given a strict ultimatum to the entire police department- every district will have to be drug -free by 31 May, otherwise strict action will be taken against the careless officers.

Officers can't run from responsibility

The DGP has made it clear that excuses will no longer run. SSP and CP of every district will have to take responsibility for themselves. The war against drugs will not be left on the trust of junior officers. It has been made mandatory for every SSP to prepare a solid, practical and fullproof action plan to completely eliminate drugs in its area.

The entire roadmap will have to be introduced in the headquarters

All SSP and CP will have to present the 'drug-free action plan' of their respective districts at the police headquarters. They have to tell which strategy they will finish the drug network, how long they will and which fronts will progress. The DGP has bluntly said - even if there is a mistake in the plan, action, even if you get laxity in work!

Officers directly responsible if drugs were found after 31 May

Gaurav Yadav warned in strict words - "If there is a presence of intoxication anywhere after May 31, it will be directly responsible for the SSP and CP. No excuse will be done, and strict action will be taken against the guilty officers."

'War drug addiction' now on mission mode

On the orders of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Police has brought 'war drug addiction' into mission mode to end drug addiction in the entire state. Villages, towns and cities - raids have been intensified everywhere. Intelligence operations have also been started to tighten the screws on drug smugglers as well as to eliminate the network of drugs from the root.

Punjab Police's resolution: 'Eradication of drug addiction from every street'

The strict message of the DGP is that now making Punjab drug -free has become a resolution of the police, not just a government campaign. Every officer has to prove that he is in the fray with full force in this war.
