In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing transparent, efficient, and corruption-free services to citizens, the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, held its first-ever special camp today to issue clearance certificates to 51 real estate promoters. This event, organized by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, marks a significant step in streamlining real estate processes in the state.
Certificates Handed Out to Builders
During the camp held at Punjab Bhawan, Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Mundia and Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha distributed various essential documents, including colony licenses, completion certificates, partial completion certificates, zoning plans, building plans, promoter registration certificates, and layout plans. Mundia emphasized the importance of addressing pending tasks for those in the real estate sector, stating, “For the first time, a special camp has been organized to resolve pending issues for real estate stakeholders. A similar camp will be held at the end of November.”
Mundia assured that the department is committed to resolving promoters’ and developers’ issues transparently and on a priority basis. To facilitate direct communication, has been established for stakeholders to lodge complaints. He urged builders to collaborate with the government and provide high-quality amenities in their projects to contribute to the holistic development of cities.
Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha reiterated the government’s seriousness about addressing pending tasks, noting that today’s camp would help expedite real estate matters, benefiting both urban development and the economic growth of the state. He confirmed that similar initiatives would be organized to address pending works across various departments, promoting the welfare of Punjab's residents.
Rahul Tiwari, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, highlighted the significance of this initiative, stating that it is a first step towards reducing the challenges faced by developers in urban development.
