Puja Khedkar wanted red-blue beacon on personal Audi: Whatsapp chat reveals

After being misusing her position, Puja Khedkar, a probationary IAS officer who scored an All India rank of 821 in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams, was moved from Pune to the Maharashtra district of Washim.

Khedkar is under fire for reportedly using a "Maharashtra Government" board and a red-blue beacon on her personal Audi. She also purportedly asked for unapproved facilities removed office furniture without permission, and entered Additional Collector Ajay More's antechamber without authorization.

The trainee IAS officer came to light after it was found that she was allegedly lying about her mental and visual disabilities and her OBC background to secure a range of perks that are not allowed to junior officers. Sources also claimed that she also demanded confirmation on the seating arrangement and vehicle before joining the post. 

As proof, the Collector’s office shared the screenshots of the chat between Khelkar and another person with the department concerned. According to the sources, in the messages, the IAS was forcing the other person to disclose the facilities and place where she will stay.

Here's what the chats revealed

On May 23, in the chats, she asked for the update about the accommodation, travel and cabin. After not getting any reply, she again messaged on May 24, asking for the update, calling it, “Important.” Replying to which the other person said, “Good Morning, You are Welcome. We will check as you arrive.”

At this point, she seemed to be annoyed and said “I think it shld be done before I join not after... I have a lot of things to plan accordingly n cannot leave it to later.”

And when the phone went unanswered, she mentioned, “Is there any problem in calling back?”

Reports also suggest that her father, a retired officer, pushed for her demands to be fulfilled. Meanwhile, the sources claim that the exhaustive report by the Collector’s office also says that Khedkar demanded the house.

Meanwhile, Pune Police personnel arrived at the residence of the Trainee IAS Officer in Pune, Maharashtra. To verify and examine the Audi car which was being used by trainee IAS.

The further investigation in the case is on and she was questioned about the allegations against her.
