New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Maharashtras Pune, where Vanraj Andekar, a former corporator of the Pune Municipal Corporation and an NCP leader affiliated with the Ajit Pawar faction, was brutally murdered last night in the citys Nana Peth area. The attack was carried out by a group of men on motorcycles, and it appears to be linked to personal enmity.Details of the attackVanraj Andekar was attacked by approximately 12 men on six two-wheelers who arrived at his residence. Surveillance footage captured the assailants brandishing firearms and assaulting Andekar, who was alone at the time. Five rounds were fired at Vanraj Andekar. He was also attacked with long-blade sickles. He was brought dead to KEM Hospital. As per the primary information, Andekar suffered multiple sharp weapon injuries. The attackers are reported to have tampered with the areas power supply, turning off the street lights to facilitate their escape. The CCTV footage also shows an object being thrown at the attackers, which misses its mark.
