Rahul Gandhi interviews Satyapal Malik: In a recent video circulating on social media, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi engages in a conversation with former Jammu and Kashmir Governor, Satyapal Malik.

The interview delves into critical issues, including the Pulwama attack, the Adani matter, the farmers' movement, MSP, caste census, Manipur issue, and Agniveer.

Pulwama Attack: Political Use and Ignored Reality

When questioned by Rahul Gandhi about the Pulwama attack, Satyapal Malik offered intriguing insights. He told, "Concerning the Pulwama attack, I won't say they carried it out, but I will certainly say they ignored it and used it for political gain. When the attack occurred, Prime Minister Modi was engaged in a National Corbett shoot. I attempted to reach out to him, but communication was impossible. I persisted and departed from the location."

"At around 5-6 o'clock, he called me to inquire about the incident. I conveyed the tragic news to him, stating that numerous lives were lost due to our oversight. In response, PM Modi advised me not to say anything."

Satyapal Malik further disclosed that Ajit Doval contacted him, instructing him not to make any statements.

Despite mentioning the potential need for an investigation, he expressed doubts about its likelihood, "If there had been an investigation, the Home Minister would have resigned, and many officials might have faced imprisonment."

'Liberal Hinduism for India's Unity'

Addressing the RSS ideology, Satyapal Malik conveyed his perspective, "I believe that India can only endure as a united nation if it adheres to the path of liberal Hinduism. This was Mahatma Gandhi's vision, where he visited every village and came to this realization. The nation can only prosper when founded on this ideology; otherwise, it risks fragmentation. We must coexist without conflict."

'Event Creation and Utilisation by Modi Government'

During the conversation, Satyapal Malik critiqued the Modi government, suggesting they have a penchant for turning any event into a political opportunity. He cited examples such as the Women's Reservation Bill and the construction of a new Parliament building.

He said, "They magnify every event and leverage it to their advantage. This was evident with the Women's Reservation Bill. While women weren't necessarily gaining anything, it was presented as a significant achievement. Furthermore, there was no real need for a new Parliament building, yet PM Modi laid its foundation stone to demonstrate accomplishment. The previous building had many years of use left."

The interview between Rahul Gandhi and Satyapal Malik offers a unique perspective on crucial topics, providing valuable insights and commentary on India's political landscape.
