Prajwal Revanna sex scandal: JD(S) suspends NDA Hassan candidate over sexual harassment allegations

Deve Gowda's Janata Dal Secular was engaged in containing electoral damage to the party after sex videos purpotedly of Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, the former PM's grandson, went viral. However, following allegations of his sexual abuse of several women, JD(S) has now suspended Prajwal Revanna from the party. 

 To suspend Prajwal Revanna from JD(S) 

Amid attacks from the ruling Congress in the state, former Chief Minister Kumaraswamy said that discussions have already been held on suspending Prajwal. Now a core committee meeting will be held in Hubli, in which the suspension of Hassan MP will be recommended. He said that Revanna is a Member of Parliament, hence the decision on his suspension has to be taken from Delhi. Kumaraswamy has also demanded to keep BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi away from the matter.
