New Delhi: Karnataka MP Prajwal Revanna has been remanded to police custody until June 6 in sex-tapes scandal case. He was taken into police custody early on Friday, May 31, following his arrival at Bengalurus Kempegowda International Airport from Germany. Revanna, who landed at approximately 1:15 am, was immediately escorted to the CID office in the city, as confirmed by officials.Investigation into serious allegationsRevanna is currently under investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for allegations of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation. These allegations were brought forth by a woman who had previously worked in his household. In response to the serious nature of these charges, the Karnataka government established the SIT to conduct a thorough probe. Upon his arrival, Revanna was detained and is scheduled to appear in court today concerning the alleged obscene video case.Revannas statement on the allegationsOn May 27, Revanna released a video statement expressing his intent to cooperate with the SIT and appear for questioning on May 31. He highlighted that his trip to Berlin had been planned in advance and emphasized that no charges were pending against him during the second phase of the general elections in Karnataka on April 26. Revanna also suggested that the allegations were part of a political conspiracy aimed at diminishing his rising influence in the political arena.
