Praful Patel, the leader of the Ajit Pawar faction, has resigned from the Rajya Sabha. Prafull Patel, the elected member of the Rajya Sabha representing the state of Maharashtra, has resigned from the Rajya Sabha, as per the announcement released by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat. The Rajya Sabha Chairman has accepted his letter of resignation, which will take effect on February 27, 2024. With no opposition, Prafulla Patel, an NCP candidate, was elected to the Rajya Sabha on February 20.
As of yet, Praful Patel's resignation has not been made public. His departure from the Upper House occurred shortly before the Lok Sabha elections. Prafulla Patel and Ajit Pawar are thought to be quite close. He had also chosen to accompany Ajit Pawar when the latter rebelled against uncle Sharad Pawar. In addition, he serves as NCP's acting president. has served as a central government minister.
