As the Haryana Assembly Elections 2024 draw near, the political atmosphere in the state is heating up. With voting scheduled for October 5, political parties are intensifying their campaigns to secure victory. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, while addressing the public recently, launched a scathing attack on former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda and the Congress government.

During the Mhara Haryana-Non Stop Haryana Jan Ashirwad Rally held in the Kalayat Assembly constituency, CM Saini did not hold back in his criticism of the previous Congress regime. He labeled the ten-year tenure of the Congress as a period marked by "terror," asserting that the party's governance was detrimental to the state's progress.

Congress Accused of Halting Government Recruitment

In his address, CM Saini accused the Congress of forming what he called a "recruitment stop gang" in Haryana. According to him, the Congress obstructed government recruitment processes by appealing to the Election Commission and the High Court. He contrasted this with the BJP's achievements, claiming that his government secured jobs for 1.2 lakh youth through the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam (HKRN) initiative. Saini emphasized that whenever the BJP initiated recruitment drives, the Congress attempted to create roadblocks.

Farmers Allegedly Neglected Under Congress Rule

Continuing his attack, CM Saini highlighted what he described as the Congress's neglect of Haryana's farmers. He criticized the previous government for providing meager compensation, stating that during the Congress's tenure, farmers received cheques of just Rs 2 as crop compensation. In contrast, he praised the BJP for distributing Rs 13,000 crore in compensation over the last decade, a significant increase from the Rs 1,100 crore provided by Congress.

Allegations of Corruption and Nepotism

CM Saini also accused the Congress of spreading falsehoods and fostering divisiveness in Haryana during their time in power. He alleged that the Hooda-led government promoted casteism, nepotism, and corruption, which ultimately led to their defeat in the 2014 elections. According to Saini, the people of Haryana rejected Hooda's administration due to these issues and entrusted the BJP with the responsibility of governance.

As the election date approaches, CM Saini's sharp criticism of the Congress reflects the intensifying political battle in Haryana. Both parties are expected to continue their aggressive campaigns in the lead-up to the crucial October 5 election.
