Mainpuri: A police raid on a hotel in Uttar Pradesh has uncovered a suspected sex racket. The operation, led by Inspector Chhatrapal Singh, resulted in the arrest of six individuals.
Officers reported feeling disturbed by the scene they encountered upon entering the hotel rooms. Young men and women were found in compromising positions on beds in two separate rooms. Additionally, one room contained a single woman allegedly waiting for a client.
According to police information, Shivam Hotel and Restaurant, located on Power House Road, had been operating as a hub for prostitution for some time. Young women were reportedly brought in, and negotiations with potential clients would take place before they were sent to rooms with the women.
The raid resulted in the arrest of three young men and three women believed to be involved in the alleged sex racket. The hotel manager was also apprehended while the owner remains at large, and a search is underway.
Police confirmed the recovery of incriminating evidence from the hotel rooms, further strengthening their case against the suspects.
Cases have been registered against Raj Vaishya, Saurabh (Nagla Khara Bhogaon), Divyansh (Purana Bazar Bewar), Ashok Singh Chauhan, and three unnamed women.
CO City Ajay Singh Chauhan confirmed receiving information about illegal activity at the hotel before leading the raid. He stated that officers found "objectionable material" and couples in compromising positions during the operation.
