Baba Siddique murder Salman Khan link: In a shocking development, one of the suspects in the recent murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique had previously been questioned in connection with the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra. The suspect, Shubham Lonkar, was let off due to lack of evidence at the time, but he has now emerged as a key conspirator in Siddique’s murder.

In April, shots were fired outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. During the investigation, Shubham Lonkar, believed to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, was taken in for questioning. Despite multiple interrogations, no substantial evidence linked Lonkar to the crime, and he was released. Police sources say Lonkar was accused of providing shelter to the suspects involved in the firing but was not charged due to insufficient proof.

Now, in the case of Baba Siddique’s murder, both Shubham and his brother Pravin Lonkar are believed to have orchestrated the killing. Siddique, a former three-time MLA and a member of Ajit Pawar’s faction of the NCP, was shot dead last week in Bandra. Two shooters, Dharamraj Kashyap and Shiv Kumar Gautam, were reportedly enlisted by the Lonkar brothers to execute the murder plot. A Facebook post allegedly from Shubham’s account, claimed responsibility for the crime on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, citing Siddique’s links to Dawood Ibrahim and Salman Khan.

While Pravin Lonkar was arrested in Pune, Shubham remains at large. The Facebook post also mentioned the death of Anuj Thapan, a suspect in the Salman Khan case, who allegedly died by suicide in police custody. The post warned those connected to Salman Khan and the Dawood gang to “settle their accounts.”

Security around Salman Khan’s properties in Bandra and Panvel has been tightened following these revelations.
