Police encounter leads to arrest of man who attacked NEET aspirant with ACID, video surfaces

According to the police, on Wednesday, in a residential area, a student was going for NEET counseling with her brother when a young man approached her and tried to talk to her. The student and her brother ran away from there.

Crime News: A shocking incident has surfaced in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow where a student was attacked with acid by a young man on Wednesday. The victim was going for NEET counseling along with her brother when the unfortuate incident took place. Both the victim and her brother were injured in this acid attack and were admitted in the hospital. 

Police actions after acid attack 

Later that night, the police formed a team to search for the suspect. On locating him an encounter broke out. The police arrested the suspect Abhishek Verma, who had a gunshot wound in one leg. He has been admitted to the hospital. Abhishek Verma is from Lakhimpur Kheri.

According to the police, on Wednesday, in a residential area, a student was going for NEET counseling with her brother when a young man approached her and tried to talk to her. The student and her brother ran away from there. After a while, the young man returned, approached them again and attacked the student with acid. The brother got injured as he was trying to protect her. Passer-by admitted both of them to KGMU hospital, where they are being treated.

Suspect was arrested 

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police became active and formed four teams to apprehend the suspect. Based on questioning relatives and CCTV footage, the suspect was identified. Subsequently, the police received information that the suspect was hiding near Gulala Ghat. A police team arrived at Gulala Ghat around 1 AM and began searching the area. Upon seeing the police, the suspect fired at the police team.

In response, the police fired back, hitting the suspect in one leg. The police then admitted the suspect to the hospital for treatment.
