New Delhi: In a shocking incident from Bhojpur police station area, a UP Police constable allegedly trapped a village girl in a deceptive love affair, raped her, and filmed obscene videos to blackmail her. The victim, who resides in the same village, reported that Monu Kumar, the accused, exploited her by threatening to release the video if she did not comply with his demands.Constable rapes her multiple timesAccording to the victims complaint, Monu Kumar, a constable currently posted at Pali police station in Hardoi district, raped her multiple times. The victim alleged that Kumar used both a knife and a gun to threaten her into submission and recorded obscene videos to maintain control over her. She stated that Kumar would demand her presence whenever he desired, threatening to make the videos public if she refused. Out of fear for her and her familys reputation, she endured the abuse in silence.Breaking the girls engagementThe victims parents had arranged her marriage to another constable in the Tanda police station area of Rampur. However, Monu Kumar obtained the contact details of her fiancé and sent him the explicit videos, accompanied by threats. This led to the fiancé calling off the wedding, despite the victims familys efforts to persuade him otherwise.Legal action takenFollowing these events, the victim and her family lodged a formal complaint against Monu Kumar at the Bhojpur police station. They reported that Kumar not only threatened to prevent her from marrying anyone else but also menaced to kill her entire family if they sought legal action against him. CO Thakurdwara Rajesh Kumar confirmed that a case of rape and blackmail has been registered against Monu Kumar.
