After Modi's visit to Memorial, his flashback images from 33 years ago surfaced on internet and received massive response from Netizens online The images, taken on December 11, 1991, are from the Ekta Yatra, which started and ended in Kashmir and at the well-known Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanniyakumari.

All of the "Ekta Yatris," including party veteran Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are shown in the widely shared photos paying their homage at Swami Vivekananda's statue. Notably, the Ekta Yatra, also known as the Unity March, began in Kanniyakumari in December 1991 and ended on January 26, 1992, when Srinagar raised the national flag.

Classic callback 

Veteran BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi headed the Ekta Yatra, and Narendra Modi—who was a BJP employee at the time—played a crucial role in coordinating the march. The purpose of the Yatra was to firmly convey to the world that India would resist terrorism with unity and firmness.
