PM to visit Karnataka on February 6, will initiate many projects

Ahead of assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka on Monday. Prime Minister will inaugurate many projects in the state during his visit. He will initiate the helicopter production facility state-run aerospace pioneer Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and will dedicate it to the nation. The Greenfield helicopter factory, spread over 615 acres, has been planned with a view to becoming a one-stop solution for all helicopter requirements of the country, said a Defense Ministry statement. This is going to be India’s largest helicopter manufacturing facility and will initially produce Light Utility Helicopters (LUH).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also launch E20, a blend of 20 percent ethanol with petrol, during his visit and inaugurate the India Energy Week, which aims to showcase the country’s “rising power as an energy transition power”. He will also attend several other events including the Green Mobility Rally, which he will flag off to create public awareness for green fuel, and the inauguration of a helicopter factory to promote the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ program in the defense sector. 

As well as, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for Tumakuru Industrial Township and two Jal Jeevan Mission projects in Tumakuru. He will also lay the foundation stone of Jal Jeevan Mission projects at Chikka Nayakana Halli and Tipturu at the same event. It is worth noting that Karnataka is likely to have assembly elections in April-May and before that this Karnataka visit of the PM Modi can play a very important role. It will be Modi’s third visit to Karnataka this year.

In South, Karnataka is the only state where the BJP is in power. The voters elected 25 BJP candidate to the Lok Sabha from the 28th Lok Sabha in the 2019 elections, and retaining Power in Karnataka ahead of general elections next year.
