Prime Minister Narendra Modi enjoyed scuba diving on Sunday at the Panchkui beach in Gujarat, which is located near the Arabian Sea. He also did prayers at the location where it is said to be the ancient city of Dwarka, which sank after Lord Krishna's death. It is often mentioned that the ancient city was a centre of magnificence and prosperity and had a special relationship with Lord Krishna.

Dwarka Dham darshan under the sea!

Along with the officials, Modi paid tribute to Dwarka, a city whose rich cultural and spiritual heritage never fails to capture the imagination. According to Modi, he also paid honour to peacock fathers underwater.
Modi posted pictures of himself on his X account, where he is seen diving into the blue seas while wearing scuba gear and doing prayers at a location with deep spiritual and historical importance. On social media, the PM's photos went viral.

“To pray in the city of Dwarka, which is immersed in the waters, was a very divine experience. I felt connected to an ancient era of spiritual grandeur and timeless devotion. May Bhagwan Shri Krishna bless us all,” Modi wrote on X.

The PM mentioned his experiences from the visit that are bound to stay with him as he completed the darshan of the old Dwarka city by diving deep into the ocean. Further, he added his divine journey far below the surface of the water. The prime minister also carried a peacock feather and laid it at the feet of Lord Krishna. He also mentioned his forever-long wish to visit and get up close and personal with the old Dwarka city's remnants.

Decoding Dwarka deep down...

Numerous articles regarding the underwater Dwarka city have been produced by archaeologists. Dwarka is described in our scriptures as a city with magnificent gates and towering buildings that reach as high as the summit of the globe. Lord Krishna built this city alone.

The lore that follows 'Dwarkadish'

Hindu mythology and history attach great significance to the ancient city of Dwarka. It has also captivated the interest of historians, archaeologists, and enthusiasts for a very long time.

Dwarkadish is the well-known Lord Krisha temple in Gujarat. The magnificent Dwarkadhish Temple, one of the Char Dhams, is located in Gujarat at the confluence of the Gomti River and the Arabian Sea. It is a major Hindu pilgrimage place for Vaishnavites, particularly those who are followers of Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna, also known as Dwarkadhish, or the King of Dwarka, is the main deity of the temple.
