Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute over 71,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits on Tuesday through video conferencing from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. According to the press release by the Prime minister’s office, the letters will be distributed at 45 locations across India.
The newly hired employees, who were chosen from applicants from all over the nation, will fill a variety of positions, including those for Gramin dak sevaks, inspectors of posts, commercial-cum-ticket clerks, junior clerks-cum-typists, junior accounts clerks, track maintainers, assistant section officers, lower division clerks, sub-divisional officers, and tax assistants, among others.
Notably, it is a step towards the Prime Minister’s commitment to the fulfilment of employment generation. It is anticipated that this programme will create more jobs and give young people worthwhile possibilities for empowerment and involvement in the development of the country. According to the statement, the newly appointed individuals would also have the chance to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online orientation programme for all new hires in different government ministries.
Before this, the letters were distributed by the Prime Minister in the first phase of ‘Rozgar Mela’, on October 22, last year, marking the beginning of the campaign to provide 10 lakh government jobs to the eligible youth.
Notably, Prime Minister Modi so far has distributed over 2.9 lakh appointment letters and after today’s event the number will come to 3.6 lakh. Apart from this, the departments have been directed to identify and fill up vacancies sanctioned posts in a ‘mission mode’.
On November 22, 2022, a second recruiting drive was held, and 71,000 appointment letters were distributed. On January 20, 2023, the third fair took place, and 71,000 appointment letters were distributed there. On April 13, 2023, the fourth fair took place, and 71,000 appointment letters were distributed once more there.
