The visit comes just two weeks after a high-level ministerial roundtable between the two nations, signaling a strong commitment to deepening ties.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the relationship between India and Singapore is on the verge of significant advancement, with new levels of cooperation expected to emerge from this visit. The Secretary East, Ministry of External Affairs, Jaideep Mazumdar, highlighted the importance of this visit, noting that it is particularly significant as it follows PM Modi’s previous visit six years ago. Singapore stands as India’s largest trade partner within ASEAN and is a key source of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). In the past financial year alone, Singapore invested $11.77 billion in India, solidifying its position as a pivotal economic partner. During the two-day visit, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to address CEOs, offering them a firsthand account of India’s growth story.
