India became the first nation to land a spacecraft on the unexplored lunar South Pole on Wednesday with the Chandrayaan-3 lander, “Vikram,” which had travelled into space for 40 days.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi furthermore saw the Chandrayaan-3 landing live online from South Africa.

Now, after concluding his two-nation tour in Greece he will land in Karnataka’s Bengaluru as the part of the pre-planned schedule. Notably, PM will interact with ISRO experts working on the Chandrayaan-3 Mission and will wish them on the success of the mission.

While praising the scientists of ISRO, PM Modi said, “India is currently on the Moon” after the Chandrayaan-3 mission for making history by landing safely on the lunar surface.

He further added, “When we see such historic moments it makes us very proud. This is the dawn of new India.” “Humne dharti par sankalp kiya aur chand pe usse sakaar kiya…India is now on the moon,” he added.

After this, India became the fourth nation after the US, Russia and China to successfully conduct a lunar landing mission and first country to reach the south pole of the Moon.

ISRO also took it to their official social media handle and shared a clip which shows how the Lander Imager Camera captured the moon’s image just prior to touchdown.
