During a meeting held on Friday, newly-elected Members of Parliament unanimously chose Modi as their leader. Preparations are now underway for Modi to take the oath as Prime Minister for the third time.

Swearing-In Ceremony Scheduled

The swearing-in ceremony is set for June 9 at Rashtrapati Bhavan. To accommodate this significant event, the premises have been closed to the public from June 5 to June 9.

The official oath-taking ceremony for Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi will be held on Sunday, June 9, at approximately 7:15 pm, according to a confirmation from the Rashtrapati Bhavan. On June 5, Prime Minister Modi met with President Draupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan to submit his resignation and that of the Union Council of Ministers in preparation for the new term.

Dignitaries and Security Measures

The ceremony is expected to host over 8000 dignitaries. Foreign leaders from various nations have accepted invitations and are scheduled to arrive in New Delhi on Sunday. Following the swearing-in, President Droupadi Murmu will host a formal banquet at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

High Security in Delhi

Delhi will be on high alert on Sunday as leaders from SAARC countries prepare to attend the event. Major hotels, including the Leela, Taj, ITC Maurya, Claridges, and Oberoi, are already under stringent security measures. Police officials have arranged secure travel routes for the dignitaries between their hotels and the venue to ensure a smooth and safe event.
