New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a rally in Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, today. This marks his first visit to Srinagar post the abrogation of Article 370 from Kashmir. However, concerning this event, reports suggest that both the ISI and Sikh fundamentalist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu are actively engaging in threats against Kashmiris.

Prime Minister Modi's visit to Srinagar aims to infuse new vigor into the agricultural economy and tourism sector of the region by unveiling projects worth Rs 6,400 crore. He will be visiting Bakshi Stadium in the afternoon to partake in the program 'Developed India Developed Jammu and Kashmir'.

 Alleged conspiracy by Pakistan and Khalistanis

Reports indicate a potential conspiracy surrounding Prime Minister Modi's rally in Srinagar. The ISI and Sikh fundamentalist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu are allegedly orchestrating threats against Kashmiris, urging them not to attend the Prime Minister's rally. Intelligence sources reveal that several Kashmiri individuals have received intimidating calls from international numbers, particularly from number 44, hinting at the involvement of pro-Pakistan elements aimed at sabotaging the rally's success. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are considering registering a case in this regard.

Development projects unveiled by PM Modi

Prime Minister Modi is set to unveil initiatives aimed at revitalizing the agricultural economy and boosting tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. Among the key projects are:

  • Comprehensive Agricultural Development Program: A program worth Rs 5,000 crore dedicated to enhancing the agricultural economy in the state.
  • Tourism Promotion: Under the Swadesh Darshan and Prasad schemes, projects worth Rs 1,400 crore will be inaugurated to boost tourism, including the 'Integrated Development of Hazratbal Pilgrimage' project.
  • Empowerment Initiatives: PM Modi will launch initiatives such as 'Dekho Apna Desh People's Choice Tourist Destination Poll' and 'Chalo India Global Diaspora Campaign'. Additionally, he will announce selected tourist destinations under the Challenge Based Destination Development Scheme.

What is Holistic Agricultural Development Programme?

The 'Holistic Agricultural Development Programme' (HADP) is a comprehensive initiative covering various aspects of the agro-economy in Jammu and Kashmir, including horticulture, agriculture, and livestock. It aims to equip approximately 2.5 lakh farmers with skill development through the Daksh Kisan portal, establish around 2,000 Kisan Khidmat Ghar, and strengthen value chains for the welfare of the farming community. The program is expected to generate employment opportunities benefiting numerous marginal families in Jammu and Kashmir.
