According to a new survey by U.S.-based Morning Consult, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues to rank first globally in leadership approval ratings.The poll found that 76% of respondents in India approve of Modis performance, while 18% disapprove and 6% had no opinion. Analysts see this as boosting Modis popularity ahead of national elections expected in 2024. Modi in COP28 climate summit Recently, PM Modi attended the COP28 climate summit in the UAE. He stated India is on target to meet its Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) for emissions reduction made under the Paris Agreement.Modi also proposed India could host COP33 climate talks in 2028. He noted developing countries face severe climate impacts despite smaller historical roles in causing global warming.
