Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state visit to the United States was historic and special, not only for him and India but for the US too. His visit has emphasised and improvised the Indo-US relationship. On Sunday, PM Modi said that the friendship between India and the US is a force for global good and it will make the planet better as well as more sustainable.

The prime minister’s remarks came as a response to US President Joe Biden’s tweet in which he said that the friendship between the US and India is among the most consequential in the world.

In a tweet, the US President shared a video clip from PM Modi’s recent state visit to the country. It read, “The friendship between the United States and India is among the most consequential in the world. And it’s stronger, closer, and more dynamic than ever.”

Tagging Joe Biden’s tweet, PM Modi said, “I fully agree with you, @POTUS @JoeBiden! Friendship between our countries is a force of global good. It will make a planet better and more sustainable.”

“The ground covered in my recent visit will strengthen our bond even more,” he added in his tweet.

On June 20, the prime minister embarked on his state visit to the United States. He also led a successful event at the United Nations Headquarters to celebrate the ninth International Yoga Day on June 21.

Later, the prime minister was invited to an intimate dinner with the Bidens at the White House. Both the leaders held a summit on Thursday, followed by PM Modi’s address to the US Congress and a state dinner hosted at the White House.

PM Modi’s visit has opened doors for Indo-US bonds, and also marked by several key deals to boost cooperation in key areas such as defense, space, and trade.
