PM Modi's Visit to Varanasi: Following his tour of Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kashi for a two-day visit on the night of Thursday, 22nd January. He received a warm welcome between Babatpur and Bareka. At Babatpur Tiraha, figures like Ram, Lakshman, Janaki, and Hanuman resounded with chants of Jai Shri Ram. Later, around 11 pm, PM Modi inspected the Shivpur-Phulwaria-Lahartara road.

Accompanying him was Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath. Together, they assessed the Shivpur-Phulwaria-Lahartara road, expected to benefit approximately 500,000 residents in southern Varanasi, around BHU and BLW areas.

This highway facilitates travel towards the Airport, Lucknow, Azamgarh, and Ghazipur, offering reduced travel times and congestion, a project costing Rs 360 crore under the BJP government.

Officials report that travel time from B.H.U. to the airport has decreased from 75 to 45 minutes, and from Lahartara to Kachari from 30 to 15 minutes. The project entailed inter-ministerial coordination, involving Railways and Defence, aimed at enhancing life for Varanasi residents.

PM's Road Show Shines Brightly

During PM Modi's road show, Varanasi residents raised spirited slogans, with BJP workers exhibiting tremendous enthusiasm. Special arrangements greeted PM Modi's arrival, with CM Yogi Adityanath presenting him with a rose.

Inauguration of Projects Worth Rs 13 Thousand Crore in Purvanchal

A BJP official from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, announced Prime Minister Modi's upcoming 2-day visit to Varanasi starting from 23rd February. He will inaugurate the Amul Banas Dairy Plant and unveil developmental projects totalling Rs 13,167.07 crore in Purvanchal.
