PM Modi pays tribute to Imam Hussain on 10th day of Muharram

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to Imam Hussain on the occasion of the 10th day of Muharram, saying his courage and commitment to the ideals of justice and human dignity are noteworthy.

On this day, Muslims across the world, especially Shia, commemorate the death of Iman of Imam Hussian in the battle of Karbala.

Taking it to Twitter, PM Modi wrote, “We recall the sacrifices made by Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS). His courage and commitment to the ideals of justice and human dignity are noteworthy.”

The 10th day of the Islamic month of Muharram is known as ‘Ashura’.
