PM Modi inaugurates 17-km stretch of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor

With the inauguration of this additional 17-km section, Namo Bharat services will be seamlessly available on 34 km of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off metro railway services from Meerut-RRTS section on Wednesday. Other than RRTS, he virtually flagged off metro railway services from Kavi Subhash Metro, Majerhat Metro, Kochi Metro, Agra Metro, Pune Metro, Esplanade Metro- Kolkata.

“With the inauguration of this additional 17-km section, Namo Bharat services will be seamlessly available on 34 km of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor, incorporating eight stations from Sahibabad to Modinagar North,” as per National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) official statement.

Before this, the passenger operations got commenced in October 2023, connecting Sahibabad RapidX Station in Ghaziabad to Duhai Depot.
