PM Modi in Lok Sabha (File)
Prime Minister Narendra Modi captivated the Lok Sabha with a bold comparison, likening the Mahakumbh to the revolutionary fervor of 1857, a symbol of defiance and national pride. In his speech, he underscored that the massive spiritual gathering has silenced its critics, proving its significance as a unifying force in modern India.
PM: I express my gratitude to the people of UP
PM Narendra Modi praised the organization of Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj in Parliament and said that it has given a message of unity of the country. Not only this, he said that Maha Kumbh was such a moment in the history of India, like the revolution of 1857 , Bhagat Singh's sacrifice and Gandhi's Dandi March. These events gave a new turn to the country and the same has happened with the grand organization of Maha Kumbh. PM Modi said, 'I express my gratitude to the people of UP and especially Prayag. Bhagiratha's effort was made to bring Gangaji to earth. We have seen a similar effort in the grand organization of Maha Kumbh. I had emphasized on Sabka Prayas from the Red Fort. This is the true form of Sabka Prayas.'
PM Modi Equates Mahakumbh to 1857 Revolution
He said that Maha Kumbh has also answered the doubts that some people have in their minds. On the occasion of Ram Lalla's Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya, we saw how the country is getting ready for the next thousand years. We saw this again in Maha Kumbh. There are many such turning points in the life of any nation, which become examples for centuries. There have been such moments in the history of our country too, which gave a new direction or jolted everyone and awakened them. We saw that during the Bhakti movement, there was spiritual consciousness in every corner. The speech given by Swami Vivekananda in Chicago was a victory cry of India's consciousness. The same happened in the freedom struggle as well. The revolution of 1857, Subhash ji's slogan of Delhi Chalo and Gandhi ji's Dandi March. All these inspired us.
'When I went to Mauritius with the water of Triveni, there was a festive atmosphere'
The Prime Minister said that this is how I see the Maha Kumbh. We saw enthusiasm for about one and a half months and felt the enthusiasm of the people. Crores of people joined with devotion, rising above the feelings of convenience and inconvenience. This enthusiasm and excitement was not limited to this. Last week I was in Mauritius. I had taken water from Triveni during the time of Maha Kumbh. When that water was offered in the Ganga pond of Mauritius, the atmosphere of faith and celebration was worth seeing there. The youth of India is embracing its faith with pride today. When the feeling of pride in its heritage increases in the feelings of a society, then we see such pictures, which came during Maha Kumbh. This increases brotherhood.
