PM Modi express Ramzan wishes, praises Sufi heritage at Jahan-e-Khusrau program

During his speech PM Modi honored Sufi saints because they recited Quranic verses but simultaneously listened to Vedic scriptures.

During the 25th Jahan-e-Khusrau event on Friday Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Sufi tradition while offering his well wishes for Ramzan month to its participants. The Sufi saints recited Quranic verses while simultaneously listening to Vedas according to his views. The Sufi tradition has created an exclusive cultural identity throughout India according to Prime Minister Modi who addressed the tribute to Sufi philosopher and poet Amir Khusrau.

Sufi musical performance

The prime minister watched Sufi musical performance before stating that the music belongs to the entire Indian population as a legacy shared through public celebration. The prime minister honored Nizamuddin Auliya alongside Rumi as well as Raskhan who was Muslim by birth but wrote Lord Krishna devotional verses and Khusrau for their ongoing promotion of unity and love. During his speech PM Modi explained that Sufi saints did not limit their presence or work to religious buildings like mosques and shrines. The prime minister noted that when these holy men recited Quranic verses they concurrently paid attention to Vedic verses.

Philosophical and mathematical discoveries

During the 13th century Khusrau declared India the best civilization of all nations together with its unmatched scholars who used Sanskrit as the highest language in existence. Moreover he explained that India's philosophical and mathematical discoveries spread across the world with powerful consequences. Modi maintained pleasant memories of his 2015 trip to Afghanistan's parliament because he had recited Rumi's writings through a Hindi adaptation.

International representation of India Modi draws his inspiration

Rumi once declared according to Mani that everyone belongs to all locations under the sun thus echoing the Upanishadic belief that Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam represents. During international representation of India Modi draws his inspiration from these concepts he has learned from his worldwide visits including his stop in Iran while reciting Mirza Ghalib's verse linking Kashi and Kaashan for those who strive to achieve their goals.
