PM Narendra Modi , while addressing a rally in Yamunanagar, Haryana, accused the Congress of ignoring the Constitution. He said that the Congress has always used the Constitution as a weapon to capture power. PM Modi said that the same Congress amended the Wakf Act in 2013 to appease the radical Muslims. This was done just a few months before the elections and it was such a law that even the Constitution became weak because of it and was not even applicable to it. Not only this, PM Modi said that if the Congress loves Muslims so much, then why does it not make a Muslim the president of the party.

PM Modi slams Congress

He said that why doesn't Congress give half the tickets to Muslims in the elections. PM Narendra Modi said that Congress had ripped apart the Constitution during the Emergency. Congress crushed the spirit of the Constitution during the Emergency so that it could somehow retain power. He said that the spirit of the Constitution is that there should be justice for all and work should be done with a spirit of equality. The spirit of the Constitution is that there should be a uniform code of justice for all, which I call Secular Civil Code. But Congress never implemented it.

Modi urges Muslim Presidency

The Prime Minister said that after the BJP government came to power in Uttarakhand, the Secular Civil Code was implemented. It was implemented with a bang. Look at the misfortune of the country that people who keep the Constitution in their pockets oppose it too. PM Modi said that the Congress government in Karnataka made reservation on the basis of religion in tenders, which is not provided for in the Constitution. Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar had also spoken clearly on this.

'Why doesn't Congress give half the tickets to Muslims?'
PM Modi said that I say that if there is so much love for Muslims then why does Congress not make one of their leaders the president of their party. Why does it not give them half the tickets in the elections. He said that these people do not care about anyone. They take such decisions which cause problems to even poor Muslims. The Wakf Act was similar, due to which only fundamentalist Muslims and rich people got control of the Wakf Board. Now everyone is happy with the new law.
