During a virtual address to the party, on the 44th foundation day of the Bhartiya Janata Party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the party is committed to taking tough decisions against the people who are involved in graft and nepotism. Prime Minister also wished the people on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti which is being observed today.

During the celebrations, the PM drew parallels between Lord Hanuman and the BJP and asserted that the party believed in the ideals of selfless service. The PM said, “If we see the whole life of Lord Hanuman, he had a ‘can-do’ attitude that helped him achieve big successes.” He said that India was realising its potential just like Lord Hanuman after eliminating self-doubt.

PM slammed opposition parties for conspiracy

The prime minister of India, Narendra Modi, slammed the opposition by claiming that the political culture of the BJP is inclusive and that the Congress is defined by dynasty, nepotism, and corruption. The prime minister also criticised those who have a “baadshahi” mentality, claiming they have been disparaging the underprivileged since 2014.

He claimed that the opposition parties could not comprehend the work being done by the BJP and that they had no idea that Article 370 will one day be history. Today, they are so desperate that they have openly begun uttering the phrase “Modi teri kabar khudegi,” according to PM Modi. He also added that parties fighting existing crises will keep conspiring against us.

PM Modi also reiterated, “Many political parties, in the name of Social Justice, have just played with the country. On the other hand, Social Justice has not been a political slogan, but an ‘Article of Faith’ for the BJP!”

Use of technology and schemes for people

The prime minister emphasised the use of technology and taught BJP members improved social media etiquette. Using the free ration programme, health insurance, and other welfare programmes as examples, Modi claimed that the BJP’s commitment to social justice was an article of religion. He claimed that the opposing parties were incapable of having large ideas, only set modest goals, and were content with modest successes. The BJP, according to Modi, “believes in dreaming big and attaining even bigger ambitions.”

Lashing out at the opposition, PM Modi further said that the opposition parties only think about their families, but BJP has given crores of people benefits under many schemes, like PM Anna Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana and many other schemes. “We have made the mantra of ‘Nation First’ our motto. BJP working with the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’ (everyone’s support, everyone’s development, everyone’s faith and everyone’s effort),” he added.

The BJP will reach out to various social groups every day in Delhi to commemorate its founding day as “Samajik Nyay Saptah,” or Social Justice Week, beginning on Thursday. While the BJP has foundation day celebrations planned for Thursday at 14,000 locations in the national capital, everyday events centred on one or more interest groups are on the agenda till April 14.
