All six of the accused in the Parliament security breach case were summoned before the Counter Intelligence Unit (CIU) of the Special Cell of Delhi Police on Thursday to verify that the account of events that each of them had previously provided matched.

The Delhi Police claim that all six of them were detained in five separate Special Cell sections and subjected to constant grilling in the connection with the attack on Parliament on December 13. Meanwhile, the police have also detained a Karnataka techie, who happens to be ex-cop son from Bagalkote last night in connection with the case and have been brought to the national capital.

According to the official statement, the suspects were turned over to the Counter Intelligence Unit (CIU) earlier on Wednesday, where they were subjected to joint questioning.

Four of the accused, Manoranjan, Amol, Sagar, and Neelam, have a seven-day incarceration period that ends on Thursday.

Counter Intelligence Unit to match sequence of events

Reconstruct the timeline: By having all individuals involved in the same room, investigators can meticulously compare their accounts and pinpoint the exact sequence of events. This may help identify discrepancies, collaborations, and any gaps in the current understanding of the breach.

Identify weak points: Analysing the synchronised accounts can expose vulnerabilities in the Parliament's security protocols that the perpetrators exploited. This can inform targeted improvements to prevent similar breaches in the future.

Uncover potential accomplices: The close proximity and coordinated questioning might trigger individuals to reveal information about any external support or involvement they may have received. This could lead to the identification of additional suspects or networks behind the breach.

Gauge motivations and intent: Observing the interactions and reactions of the accused can provide valuable insights into their motivations and intentions. This can help assess the true nature of the threat.

Other than this, the Special Cell has put together six teams that will visit locations linked to the accused in Lucknow, Mysuru, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Haryana to hunt for more leads in the case.
