New Delhi: A gruesome massacre was carried out by terrorists in Baisaran, Pahalgam on April 22, as they opened fire on 26 tourists, mercilessly targeting them in front of their loved ones.The agency has registered a case and has been investigating the attack since the day of the incident. The investigating agency has also questioned some eyewitnesses to gather evidence of the terrorist attack, which revealed that the terrorists had made a complete video recording of this massacre. For this, they had put body cameras on their bodies.
Officials associated with the NIA said that the investigating agency has registered a case in Jammu regarding this terrorist attack and informally started the investigation on the day of the attack i.e. Tuesday. On the day of the incident itself, a team of officials of the investigating agency led by the IG along with the local police reached the spot and the teams have been present at the spot since then. The investigating teams are closely investigating all the entry and exit routes of Baisaran in Pahalgam.
The NIA official said that the initial investigation into this brutal terror attack indicated that the number of terrorists involved in it could be between five to seven and the terrorists were also helped by at least two locals who had received training in Pakistan. After the incident, security agencies have also released sketches of three terrorists. All three are from Pakistan and their names are Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah and Abu Talha.
According to the information, the terrorists killed only men, first asked them about their religion and then made them sit on the ground and bow their heads. After that, 26 people were shot dead. This is the biggest terrorist incident in Kashmir till date. After this incident, tension between India and Pakistan is increasing.
