However, tourist vehicles have been exempted from this bandh, so that the common people do not face inconvenience.

The Finance Ministry said that Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is returning to India by cutting short her visit to the US and Peru. According to the ministry, "The minister wants to be with the countrymen in this time of crisis. All preparations are being made for her early return."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing grief over the Pahalgam attack.
