One day after extending its support to the newly formed opposition coalition INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance), the Badruddin Ajmal-led All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) on Saturday said that the alliance ‘will win over 300 seats’ in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The ‘INDIA’ coalition will ‘oust’ the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party from power at the Centre, AIUDF MLA and party General Secretary Aminul Islam told news agency ANI.

“INDIA can win 320 to 330 seats in 2024 Lok Sabha election. But, the Congress party will have to make concessions. They have to accept all secular parties,” MLA Aminul Islam said.

“Many parties of the NDA [National Democratic Alliance] have no MP. On the other hand, the opposition parties have a total strength of 205 MLAs. There are some other political parties that are neither in NDA nor in the INDIA bloc and these parties have 64 seats. BJP’s popularity has been gradually decreasing, as we have seen after suffering poll defeat in Karnataka.”

The AIUDF MLA further claimed that the BJP’s seat share in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections may fall to single-digit figures in Karnataka after the party lost comprehensively in the recently held assembly elections.

‘What happened in Karnataka, will happen in MP, C’garh, Rajasthan’: AIUDF to BJP

Aminul Islam criticised the BJP for failing to fulfil its election promises and blamed them for the ‘inflation’ in the country that was ‘hurting’ the common man.

He said that the election results of Karnataka, where BJP lost comprehensively, would be seen in the poll-bound states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.

“What happened in Karnataka [assembly elections], the same thing will be happening in the country,” Islam said.

Aminul Islam also rubbished the BJP’s claim that the saffron party would win 12 out of 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam.
