Operation Ajay: 6th flight brings back 143 passengers, including 2 Nepalese from Israel

Over 1,200 people have safely returned from Israel in the previous five flights under Operation Ajay.

Under India’s Operation Ajay, a sixth flight carrying 143 Indian citizens arrived in the national capital on Sunday night amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

The evacuees, who returned from the war-torn Israel by the Indian aircraft, also included two Nepalese citizens.

Sharing an update on the evacuation mission, the spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Arindam Bagchi took to X, saying, “6th #OperationAjay flight lands in New Delhi. 143 passengers, including 2 Nepalese citizens arrived onboard the flight. Welcomed by MoS @SteelMinIndia & @MoRD_GoI @fskulaste at the airport."

The stranded passengers were received at the Delhi IGI airport by Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste.

Union Minister Kulaste told ANI, "I am present here to welcome everyone (coming from Israel)... I am happy that I got this opportunity to welcome them..."

Notably, 'Operation Ajay' is an ongoing Indian operation to evacuate citizens caught up in Israel amid the raging conflict with the terrorist organisation Hamas. Over 1,200 people have safely returned from Israel in the previous five flights under Operation Ajay.
