In a horrific term of event, an old man repeatedly raped a 16-year-old girl to the limit that the minor ended up being pregnant. After the horrific crime, the old man reportedly threatened the victim as well. The old man reportedly was thereafter arrested and sentenced by the court to lifetime imprisonment. The judge convicted the old man on account of molesting a minor in Pithoragarh which led to lifetime imprisonment and if the fine is not paid on time the man will be charged with an additional five years of prison. The complaintOn December 1, 2023, a woman filed a complaint at the Gangolihat police station. The mom claimed that when she experienced stomach trouble, she brought her 16-year-old daughter to Berinag Hospital. It was discovered that she was pregnant during the examination. In response to her question, her daughter said that she had gone to the nearby woodland in March 2023 to trim some grass.The heinous act She was forced into sexual encounters with Dayakishan Neolia, an elderly man who had come to graze the cow, and he threatened to murder her if she told anyone. When she returned to the jungle to trim grass two or three days after the last incident, the accused sexually assaulted her. The police began an investigation and filed a case against the accused based on the complaint, as per sections 323, 506, and 376(2)(J)(M) of the Indian Penal Code.The court was involved in the case. On behalf of the victim, DGC Criminal Advocate Pramod Pant and Prem Bhandari made a plea. The Special Sessions Judge heard the arguments from both parties on Friday before rendering his decision.
