Family claims mental harassment led to rapper's death

Popular Odia rapper Abhinav Singh, known by his stage name ‘Juggernaut,’ allegedly died by suicide in Bengaluru’s Kadubeesanahalli on February 9. The 32-year-old rapper and engineer had recently moved to Karnataka for work and was employed at a private firm. His sudden demise has sparked controversy, with his family accusing his wife and in-laws of mentally harassing him, which they claim led him to take the extreme step.

No suicide note found

According to reports, Abhinav consumed poison in his apartment after returning from dinner with a friend. Police recovered an empty poison bottle from the scene, but no suicide note was officially found. However, his mother alleged that a handwritten note was seized by Bengaluru Police, raising further speculation about the circumstances of his death.

His body was sent for post-mortem, and after completing formalities, his family took it to Cuttack, Odisha, for the last rites. The Marathahalli Police have launched an investigation, and forensic reports are awaited to confirm the exact cause of death.

Family alleges wife's role, files police complaint

Abhinav’s family has lodged a case in Odisha, accusing his wife and in-laws of driving him into depression through harassment.
