Not innocent: SC sets hearing for Patanjali misleading ads case on April 23, directs Ramdev, Balkrishna to appear

Acharya Balkrishna, the managing director of Patanjali, came under fire from the Supreme Court on Tuesday for demeaning allopathy. The case will be heard by SC on April 23. The bench that was hearing the case recommended that Balkrishna and Baba Ramdev both attend the subsequent hearing.
This followed statements made to the Supreme Court on Tuesday by Patanjali Ayurved MD Balkrishna and yoga guru Ramdev that they would be willing to provide a public apology in the case involving deceptive ads.

Impending apologies

Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna's "unconditional apologies" was turned down by the Supreme Court last week. The court claimed that they disobeyed its directives numerous times throughout this time. Senior counsel Mukul Rohatgi informed the Supreme Court during the hearing that Ramdev is prepared to issue a public apology. Judge Hima Kohli then states that Ramdev and Balkrishna have been invited to speak up and that the court is interested in hearing their opinions. As it was there, the bench rises for a little while.

SC slams 'not so innocent' on accused!

In the course of hearing a contempt action against Patanjali Ayurveda for deceptive advertising of the company's pharmaceutical items, the Supreme Court chastised the yoga guru on Tuesday. The court informed Baba Ramdev that he is "not so innocent" during this time. In addition, the court censured him for his "irresponsible behavior."
