A heartbreaking tragedy occurred in Noida when a two-and-a-half-year-old child was shot dead during celebratory firing at a wedding procession. The child, who was reportedly struck in the head, tragically lost his life in the horrifying incident. The young victim was enjoying the wedding festivities with his family from a balcony when the deadly shot was fired.

The incident took place in Aghapur village, located within the jurisdiction of Sector 49 Police Station. The wedding procession, filled with music and dancing, was being celebrated in the streets. People gathered in the neighborhood, enjoying the festivities from their homes. The groom and several of his friends were seen on a chariot, while others danced and cheered along with the procession.

As the procession continued, a person holding the child filmed the event. Suddenly, one of the groom's friends, standing on the chariot, pulled out a firearm and discharged a shot into the air in the midst of the celebration. Tragically, the bullet struck the child in the head, instantly piercing through it. The video, which was recorded by the individual holding the child, shows a panicked retreat as they rush inside the house.

Victim's death and police investigation

Reports suggest that the child succumbed to the gunshot wound on the spot. Authorities arrived at the scene and immediately initiated an investigation. A case has been registered in connection with the fatal shooting, and the police are reviewing the viral video circulating on social media.

The police issued a statement regarding the incident, confirming the details: "During a wedding procession in Aghapur village, a child was shot due to celebratory firing and later died from the injuries during treatment. A case has been registered at Sector 49 police station under the relevant sections. The panchnama of the body has been completed, and further legal proceedings are underway. Law and order remain under control."
