New Delhi: In a surprising turn of events, Vipin Gupta, a software engineer from Lucknow who had been missing since August 4 from his home in Bangalore, was traced by Noida Police near a shopping mall in Noida. His wife, Sriparna Dutta, had been actively running a social media campaign titled #SaveVipin for the past two weeks to locate him, with coordinated efforts from the Bangalore, Kolkata, and Noida police teams. However, when he was finally found, Vipin refused to return to his wife, stating that he had deliberately left to escape from what he described as continuous torture and harassment by her. Vipin alleged that, despite knowing she was a divorcee with a 12-year-old child from a previous marriage, he married her out of goodwill. However, he claims he could no longer tolerate the level of control she exerted over his life.Software Engineer Vipin Gupta of Lucknow was traced by Noida Police outside a shopping Mall in Noida.
