New Delhi: In a disturbing video thathas surfaced from Noida's Sector 94 postmortem facility, showing a man engaging in an explicit act with a woman in the presence of a dead body. This shocking footage, which has gone viral on social media, has raised serious concerns about misconduct within the facility.

Video of the incident surfaces on social media

According to reports, the man involved is a sweeper at the postmortem house, and the video shows him performing the indecent act while a body lies on a stretcher nearby. The unsettling incident was filmed by an associate who can be heard giving instructions during the recording.

The video reveals the man entering the deep freezer room after a visit to a tea shop. Upon arrival, he encounters a sanitation worker and a woman in the room. The sweeper is seen fetching a sheet from another room and handing it to the woman before returning to the freezer room, where the inappropriate act is caught on camera.

Man has history of misconduct

Further investigation into the man's background uncovers a history of misconduct. Previously stationed at the Dankaur Health Center, he was transferred to the postmortem facility in June this year. Reports from Dainik Jagran suggest the man has a reputation for unruly behavior, including allegations of drinking and urinating inside the facility. The woman seen in the video is reportedly an outsider, raising suspicions of potential links to a prostitution racket operating within the premises.

Poor maintenance of Noida’s sector 94 postmortem house

The Sector 94 postmortem house is the sole facility of its kind in Gautam Budh Nagar district and has been under scrutiny for its deteriorating conditions. Earlier this year, the facility was overcrowded, with bodies awaiting autopsies due to an influx of heat-related deaths. Reports from the Hindustan Times highlighted the lack of functional freezers, leaving bodies exposed, which further added to the chaos.

This latest incident has brought to light the critical need for proper oversight and management of the postmortem house, as well as accountability for the authorities responsible.
