New Delhi: In a tragic incident in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, a 36-year-old IT engineer named Pankaj ended his life by jumping from the 15th floor of his residence at Panchsheel Pratishtha Society, Sector-75. The incident occurred around 3 PM on Tuesday. The security personnel, alerted by the sound of the fall, arrived quickly but found Pankaj already deceased.
Pankaj, who lived with his wife and child in flat number 1508 of tower number eight, worked for a company located in Sector 126. Police from Sector 113 have taken custody of the body and are investigating the case. No suicide note was found at the scene. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the society to gather more information.
Prior to his death, Pankaj communicated with his wife through messages and an email. In his email, he apologized for his actions and provided her with his laptop password and bank details. Pankaj’s wife, who was in Jalandhar at the time of the incident, has been informed and is traveling back to Noida.
Local reports indicate that Pankaj had been suffering from depression and had been on medication for several days. Despite this, no formal complaint has been lodged with the police by the family. The scene of the fall was marked by a significant amount of blood. Pankaj, originally from Jalandhar, Punjab, had been struggling with his mental health. The investigation into his death is ongoing.
The family is in deep mourning following the incident. The community is also awaiting further details as the investigation progresses.
