Noida: Husband jumps from 24th floor after quarrel with wife, suicide suspected

New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Noida where a 20-year-old man fell to his death from the 24th floor of a flat in Gaur Spot Wood Society, Sector 79. The owner of the flat was out when the incident took place. The youth and his wife lived in the flat and were providing their services as domestic help. The reasons for the youth's death are being investigated.

Wife witnesses husband's fatal jump

ACP Shaivya Goyal said that on Tuesday evening around 6:30 pm, the police of Sector-113 police station received information that a person had committed suicide by jumping from a flat located on the 24th floor of Gaur Society. The deceased was identified as Ajay alias Bharat Ratna, a resident of Orissa. At the time when the young man jumped, his wife was also present in the flat.

Guard rushes to scene

The security guard of the society said that suddenly there was a sound of someone falling on the ground. When the guard rushed to the spot, he saw that a person was lying on the ground covered in blood and he was dead. According to the police, the owner of the flat was not present inside when the incident happened. The police have contacted the flat owner. Initial investigation has revealed that Ajay and his wife often fought over something.

Autopsy to reveal cause of death

There was an argument between the two on Tuesday as well. It is suspected that the young man committed suicide by jumping from a height due to domestic discord. Some people from society suspect murder. The police are investigating the case keeping all aspects in mind. The body has been sent for postmortem to know the cause of death. The police are also talking about interrogating the deceased's wife in this case.
