UP News: In a devastating road accident in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, a 42-year-old woman tragically lost her life after being struck by a speeding pickup truck on Tuesday. The incident occurred near the Kashiram intersection in Sadarpur village, Sector 39, while the victim, identified as Sushila, was walking along the road.

Victim dies in hospital

According to local police, Sushila sustained severe injuries from the impact and was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, she succumbed to her injuries during treatment. Her body has since been sent for a post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and authorities are actively working to apprehend the driver, who fled the scene and remains at large.

Shocking video surfaces on social media

Adding to the tragedy, a video capturing the exact moment of the accident has surfaced on social media. The footage shows the harrowing moment when the pickup truck knocked down Sushila, amplifying calls for swift justice. In another disturbing incident, a 29-year-old woman police head constable was sexually assaulted while on her way to celebrate Karwa Chauth at her in-laws' residence in Kanpur. The accused, identified as Kallu (alias Dharmendra Paswan), allegedly offered her a lift before forcing her into a nearby field and raping her. In a desperate attempt to escape, the victim bit the accused’s finger.

In response, Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister praised the state police for their success in prosecuting criminals. The UP government’s records highlight that over 80,000 criminals have been successfully prosecuted in recent years, with 54 receiving the death penalty for serious crimes, particularly those involving women and minors under the POCSO Act.
