As a set up in their protest against the ruling Centre government, all the Members of Parliament of the opposition from the Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A) will wear black clothes to register their anger and demanding the statement from Prime Minister Modi over the situation in Manipur.

It is to be noted here that the INDIA alliance on July 26 moved the no-confidence motion after days of logjam in Parliament.

After speaking with party leaders, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla told the House that he will set the date and time for the motion’s discussion. After that, MPs in the lower House continued to criticise the central government for its position on the violence in Manipur and requested a meaningful debate on the floor.

Congress and the other opposition parties have been protesting and sloganeering both in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha since the commencement of the monsoon session of the Parliament on July 20.

Meanwhile, Congress, Bharat Rashtra Samithi, and Aam Admi Party have issued a three-line whip to its MPs to be present in the house on July 27 and 28. The Congress party issued a three-line whip for its MPs, urging them to be present in the Rajya Sabha tomorrow. “Very important issues will be taken up for discussion in the Rajya Sabha tomorrow, i.e., Thursday, July 27, 2023,” Congress stated on Wednesday.
