The video also shared a voice message which briefed about the details of the ‘marvel’ expressway. It said that the Dwarka Expressway is a four-package highway with a lane-wide length of 563 km. This elevated road starts at Shiv Murti on National Highway (NH) 8 and ends at Kherki Daula toll plaza in Haryana’s Gurugram. It is the first project in India for which, 1,200 trees were re-transplanted.
Once this project will be completed, it will significantly improve the connectivity between the national capital, Delhi and Haryana. Also, it will take just 15 minutes to travel from Dwarka to Manesar, and Manesar to Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport will become 20 minutes. Further, Dwarka to Singhu border will become 25 minutes and Manesar to Singhu border will become 45 minutes. This expressway will boost connectivity and make travellers easy and faster to commune.
Moreover, this project will also strengthen the connectivity of the International Convention Centre in Dwarka, Sector 25.’
Interestingly, there are three-lane service roads on both sides of the expressway, which will help travellers to avoid traffic congestion. Entry points have also been made on these service lanes.
In the construction of this giant elevated expressway, nearly two tonnes of steel has been used, which is 30 times more than that used in the Eiffel Tower. Further, 20 lakh cubic metres of cement concrete have been used in the project, which is six times more than that used in Burj Khalifa.
