The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has shattered a glass ceiling by appointing its first woman chief, Nina Singh. She worked as a member secretary for the State Womens Commission, where she designed outreach programs to support women in distress.Meanwhile, Ninas intellectual acumen is evident in her collaborations with Nobel laureates Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo on research papers, and her contribution to a project by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to enhance police station accessibility.Furthermore, Nina has managed high-profile cases such as the Sheena Bora murder and Jiah Khans suicide during her tenure as Joint Director of the CBI. She received the prestigious Ati Utkrisht Seva Medal in 2020 for her professional excellence.
