NIA Takes Over Pahalgam Attack Probe: Pakistani Links, 26/11-Style Conspiracy Uncovered

The central government has handed over the investigation of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22 to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). This attack has been described as sponsored by Pakistan, which was carried out by the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba through its front organization 'The Resistance Front' (TRF).

NIA takes over Pahalgam Attack Case

The NIA will investigate the Pahalgam attack, the Home Ministry has issued an order in this regard. According to officials, the NIA is now in the process of taking over the case from the Jammu and Kashmir Police. It is believed that the NIA will soon begin an in-depth investigation to uncover the wider terrorist network and conspiracy associated with this attack.

According to officials, the NIA will now re-register the FIR filed by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and start a formal investigation, though the NIA team led by IG Vijay Sakhare is already assisting the local police since April 23.

NIA is recording the statements of the victims
The NIA has been recording statements of survivors of the attack for the past few days and questioning arrested terrorists and overground workers belonging to Lashkar, Jaish-e-Mohammed and other terror outfits. Meanwhile, a joint force of the Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police is searching for the attackers who killed 26 innocent civilians in the Baisaran Valley.

Pakistan's involvement
Indian intelligence agencies have traced digital evidence of the attack to safe houses in Muzaffarabad and Karachi in Pakistan, which confirms Pakistan's direct involvement in the attack. It is believed that this attack was also carried out on the lines of a Mumbai 26/11 style control-room operation.
