New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey has made a sensational claim regarding an incident that occurred in Parliament, where he alleged that Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi was seen "climbing up the Makar Dwar" during a chaotic scuffle that resulted in injuries to two BJP MPs. The confrontation arose amidst heated discussions over remarks made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

The Incident Unfolds

Speaking to media reports, Dubey stated that he and another leader witnessed Gandhi ascending the Parliament gate during the altercation. He recounted how, after climbing, Gandhi allegedly pushed several BJP MPs, including Pratap Sarangi and Santosh Pandey, leading to a physical confrontation. Dubey expressed his outrage, saying, "For the first time, I saw the ugly face of this party. The way our MPs were pushed and misbehaved with was condemnable."

Breach of Privilege Notice

In light of the incident, Dubey moved a breach of privilege notice against Gandhi, accusing him of sharing a "criminally edited" version of Shah's speech on social media. He claimed that Gandhi's actions were an attempt to manipulate public sentiment and undermine the dignity of Parliament. The notice submitted to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla called for serious consequences, suggesting that Gandhi should face suspension from the House and its committees.

Escalating Tensions

The scuffle erupted as members of the Congress-led INDIA bloc attempted to enter Parliament through Makar Dwar, where BJP MPs were protesting. This led to accusations from both sides, with Congress claiming that their MPs were also pushed and manhandled. Amidst this chaos, two BJP MPs—Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput—were hospitalized due to injuries sustained during the altercation.

Massive Political Fallout

The incident has sparked a political firestorm, with both parties filing complaints against each other. The BJP has accused Gandhi of assault and incitement, while Congress has countered by alleging misbehavior by BJP members towards their leader Mallikarjun Kharge. Rahul Gandhi has denied pushing anyone and stated that he was obstructed by BJP MPs.

As tensions continue to rise within the Parliament, this incident highlights the growing animosity between the ruling party and the opposition. With allegations flying and complaints filed, it remains to be seen how this situation will unfold in the coming days. The political landscape is increasingly polarized, raising concerns about decorum and mutual respect within one of the nation’s most important institutions.
