The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test- Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 today, July 20. This follows a directive from the Supreme Court on July 18, which instructed the NTA to release the results by this date amidst ongoing controversies surrounding the exam.

Applicants can check and download their results from the official websites exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ and neet.ntaonline.in by entering their login credentials. This step aims to ensure transparency while addressing the allegations of paper leaks and the awarding of grace marks by the NTA. The Supreme Court has mandated that the marks be published without disclosing the identities of the students.

Supreme court directive

The Supreme Court's order was issued by a bench comprising Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra. The court has instructed the NTA to publish the marks obtained by the candidates on its website while masking their identities to maintain confidentiality.

This year, the NEET-UG exam was conducted by the NTA on May 5 across 4,750 centers, with over 23.33 lakh students appearing. A re-exam was held on June 23 for 1,563 candidates, and those results were announced on June 30.
